Mabon : Sacred Ceremony & Drum Circle

Join Hannah Lily & the Coven community, at the enchanting Luna temple, for an evening of wild witchery, ceremony, song & celebration to mark Autumn Equinox.

Let’s welcome a sacred pause, away from the busy demands of life, to linger in the potency of earth craft, community , and ritual to mark this joyful pagan harvest festival, Mabon.

As we unfurl through this 3 hour immersive ceremony, we will voyage deep into realms of earthly wisdom to witness all that is ripe and sacred in our lives. As we begin to welcome the darker months, we will call upon the gifts of balance as we honour the light and the dark within our emotional tapestry and earthly landscapes

This ceremony invites you to celebrate all that is abundant within and without, calling you to notice the earthly rhythm, season and cycles we are all inextricably interconnected to.  This is a time to connect to the spirits of the land and give gratitude and thanks for the riches of harvest. Allowing the force of our appreciation to be amplified by joyful radiant hearts and the powerful resonance of the drum.

Please note that I have 12 drums available to borrow and use for this ceremony – you are welcome to bring your own

This is a sacred and safe place to reconnect to your inner power, find your voice, return to your inner rhythm and connect to a wider community of like minded souls.

Drumming Contraindications:

Drum circles are not a substitute for medical consultation for physical, mental and psychological illnesses, but it is a powerful natural complementary form of healing as well as a space for social interaction. It is not a therapy group and should not be seen by participants as such.

Like any form of sound work it may not be suitable for everyone as it involves some loud noise and repetitive beats.

Those with Tinnitus and Menieres disease may find that the use of ear plugs helps them join a drum circle without over stimulating the ears.

Those with epilepsy and those otherwise affected by repetitive sound should consider their triggers and make the session leader aware of any needs they may have.

It is particularly contraindicated for those suffering from active schizophrenia, PTSD and other reality perception altering illnesses as repetitive drumming can change the brain waves and induce trance like states.

Those in the early stages of pregnancy or those who have suffered recurrent miscarriage, and are currently pregnant, should take medical advice before joining a drum circle.

Along with the effects of sound the active sharing space may trigger some people with past trauma. It is to be noted that the Sacred Women’s Drum Circle Facilitators do not take on the role of a therapist in the gathering and should not be treated as such. They may need to intervene and invite participants to seek alternative or additional support.
