Goddess Day - Medicine Making & Ceremony

Join me on Friday 13th to honour the powerful energies that arise with Goddess Day. We will gather in sacred circle to make Flower Essence Medicine & connect through conscious community & sacred ritual.

The Origins of Friday 13th:

Patriarchal times have twisted Friday 13th to carry negative connotation & coin it as bad luck. When in fact, Friday 13th is traditionally an exceptionally auspicious day to celebrate & honour Divine Feminine Energy. In pagan times, Fridays were a day of celebration and 13 was a sacred number because it corresponded to the 13 yearly moon and menstrual cycles that occur each year. It was considered the day of Venus and Freya, the goddesses of sensuality and love and it was a day to embrace all that is sensual, sexual, and creative within us. The number itself holds the meaning of death and rebirth, creation, fertility and blood – all of which represent elements of the feminine.

Even the name “Friday” is thought to have sprung from Freya and in French, “vendredi” is believed to have come from Venus, both of which show the reverence that was shown for these sacred and divine feminine goddesses.

In this ceremony we will be making Freya Flower Essence Medicine

We will combine

• Foraged springtime blooms
• Sacred water from Glastonbury & St Mary's Spring
• Menstruum
• Infused with Solar & Lunar rays

These elements combined will invoke subtle yet powerful vibrational healing powers for our energy body.

Each participant will leave the gathering with their own sacred bottle of Freya Flower Essence Medicine which was made in ceremony.

In preparation for the gathering, I will make making a short pilgrimage at sunrise on Friday 13th, where I will be collecting sacred water from St Mary's Spring. I will be greeting the day with meditation, drum medicine & chanting, giving prayers, offerings and gratitude to the water before collecting from the spring. Those who wish to join me on this pilgrimage are so so welcome!
